About the GCBBF
The Great Canadian Brass Band Festival (GCBBF) brings together brass band enthusiasts from across Ontario for a brass band-focused weekend held in the vibrant cultural corridor of the city of Toronto, at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music.
Over the weekend there will be workshops, performances and vendors tables with music and instruments to try.
Friday will include solo (slow melody / technical) and small ensemble (10 piece or less) competition, with Friday evening event TBC
On Saturday you will hear a day of brass band performances culminating with a Gala Concert in the evening, featuring the Hannaford Street Silver Band, with Guest Conductor Patrick Sheridan, and Brandon Ridenour, trumpet Soloist
