With its humble beginnings as a brass choir in 2011, Upper Canada Brass (UCB) became a full British-styled Brass band in January 2018 – the same year they attended their first Brass Band Competition at NABBA in Fort Wayne, Indiana. With much enthusiasm, they returned in 2019. Although Covid has punched a massive hole in the short existence of this ensemble, the band has come back to life with its first post-covid concert in May 2022. Since then, UCB has developed a 4-concert season series, presenting programs featuring not only renowned brass band musicians but also supporting our own musicians’ soloistic endeavours. UCB’s repertoire is heavily slanted to Canadian Composers with a sprinkle of world composers’ newer works.
Upper Canada Brass is proud to be a proud member of NABBA and The Canadian Band Association (Ontario).
